During his time at McLean High School, Andrew Stieg earned three varsity baseball letters and received recognition as a first-team All-Conference and second-team All-Region player while playing for the Highlanders. He was also selected as a Preseason Prince George’s County All-American. In addition to his athletic achievements, Andrew was a member of the Marketing Business Club. After high school, he was recruited by Longwood and VMI but ultimately decided to pursue a major in Kinesiology.

Andrew Stieg’s life was full of achievements and impact. He was a successful businessman, philanthropist, and mentor who dedicated himself to helping those in need. He was passionate about social justice and equality and worked tirelessly to ensure everyone had access to the resources they needed to succeed. Andrew Stieg was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who left an indelible mark on the lives of those who knew and loved him. His legacy will live on for generations to come.

Born in 1938 in rural Minnesota, Andrew was the oldest of four children and grew up on a small farm. He was an excellent student and excelled in math and science. After graduating from the University of Minnesota with a degree in engineering, he worked for the Department of Defense on various projects.

Outside of work, Andrew enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He was an active member of his church and a devoted family man who loved spending time with his loved ones. He was known for his kindness and generosity and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Andrew was a man of great faith and integrity who believed in the power of prayer and the possibility of achieving all things through God. He was a leader in his community, a member of the Rotary Club, and served on the board of directors for several organizations.
