Julie Watts Obituary – Death: Clinical Psychologist cause of death and murder

Julie has 30 years experience as a clinical psychologist in public and private institutions. She received a Bachelor of Arts (Honours in Psychology) from the University of Western Australia in 1987 and a Master of Clinical Psychology in 1991. She developed her expertise in psychological issues related to women’s and perinatal health at KEMH, and she is coordinator of the national project Childbirth Stress and Depression.

Julie is passionate about helping people achieve a better quality of life and optimal wellbeing. Julie provides evidence-based psychotherapy for a variety of issues to those 16 years of age and older, offering face-to-face and telehealth sessions. Her areas of interest include:

Julie uses a wide range of treatments depending on the issue at hand and the needs of her clients. These approaches include acceptance and attachment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), emotion-focused therapy, mindfulness, hypnotherapy, and chronic therapy. She also provides life coaching.
