Paul Pogba wants out of Manchester United following the latest humiliating snub by Jose Mourinho, according to reports.
The Frenchman was left on the bench for the 3-1 defeat at fierce rivals Liverpoolsignalling his time at Old Trafford could be coming to an end. It is the third time in three league matches that he has failed to make the starting XI.
His turbulent relationship with Mourinho is also thought to be at breaking point. According to Tuttosport, Juventus are ready to offer him an escape route despite leaving the Turin side in 2016.
Pogba departed for then-world record £89million but remained a fan favourite with the Italian champions. His price would prove a stumbling block with United eager to receive a similar amount they paid for him over two years ago.
Juventus will need to be wary of not falling foul of financial fair play restrictions after forking out for Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer. It is reported that they could offer either midfielder Miralem Pjanic or left-back Alex Sandro as part of the deal.
Pogba, 25, won four league titles at Juventus and was named in the Serie A team of the year for three consecutive seasons.
“Real Reason Why Zidane Quit As Real Madrid Coach” – Calderon
Former Real Madrid president, Ramon Calderon has revealed Zinedine Zidane quit as coach over a disagreement regarding who was in control of transfers.
Calderon said the Frenchman walked away from Santiago Bernabeu because he wanted Gareth Bale sold instead of Cristiano Ronaldo, but president Florentino Perez had other ideas.
“Zidane made it very clear when he decided to leave the club,”he told Bleacher Report.
“He insisted on keeping Cristiano and transferring Bale, and the president did completely the opposite.
“Zidane also wanted to sign some players and transfer others apart from Bale but he didn’t get [his wishes], so he decided to leave. And he was right.”
Calderon added that:-
“The point with Cristiano was not only that he scored 50 goals per season but also that he was a leader. He could help team-mates. He was always encouraging them to play better, to train more.
“For me, that is the main problem not only the loss of his goals but Cristiano’s behaviour, his attitude.”
Messi Sets New Record, Becomes First Player To Score 400 Laliga Goals
Lionel Messi became the first-ever player to reach 400 goals in LaLiga, after he netted in Barcelona’s 3-0 win over Eibar at Camp Nou on Sunday. Messi, 31, has now scored eight goals in his last five league games, including a double against Espanyol and a hat-trick against Levante.
Luis Suarez opened the scoring, before Messi made it 2-0. In total, Messi has now netted 25 goals in just 23 appearances in all competitions this season, including 17 in the league.
The Argentine forward has been La Liga’s all-time top goalscorer since November 2014, when he overtook Telmo Zarra at the top of the rankings. Former Athletic Bilbao striker Zarra had held the record since the 1950s with 251 goals.
Messi has also been Barca’s top scorer in all competitions for a number of years. After his goal against Eibar, his tally stands at 575, ahead of Cesar (232 goals) and Laszlo Kubala (194 goals).
‘Pogba Should Have Gotten Red Card In Tottenham vs Man United’- Graeme Souness
Graeme Souness has criticised referee Mike Dean for not sending off Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, for his challenge on Tottenham’s Dele Alli.
Pogba set up Marcus Rashford for the only goal of the game, as United secured a 1-0 victory at Wembley.
However, Souness believes that Pogba’s challenge in the 78th minute, should have resulted in a red card instead of a yellow.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Souness said:
“I think it’s a red card. And there’s not one ounce of doubt in my mind. He knew what he was doing.
“You step over it, you use your strength to keep the player away, but look where the ball is, look where the foot is.
“If that referee doesn’t see that as a red card, he sees it as a foul, he sees it as a yellow card, then he knows nothing about football, the referee. There wasn’t one ounce of doubt in my mind he’s gone over the ball to do him.”
