Akshara Singh leaked video, Akshara joins Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj
Patna: Renowned Bhojpuri actor Akshara Singh revealed on Monday that she has become a part of the Jan Suraaj campaign, initiated a year ago by political strategist-turned-activist Prashant Kishor, with the aim of bringing about positive transformation in Bihar, her home state. Commonly known as the “Bhojpuri Queen” for her significant standing in the regional cinema industry, Ms. Singh made the announcement at the Jan Suraaj office in Patna. Identifying herself as a “Bihar ki beti” (daughter of Bihar), she expressed her alignment with Mr. Kishor’s vision, who is currently engaged in a statewide ‘pada yatra’ in north Bihar.
During her interaction with reporters, Ms. Singh emphasized that her choice to join Jan Suraaj stems from its character as a movement, setting it apart from traditional political parties. She clarified that her involvement is not motivated by political aspirations or a quest for an election ticket. Instead, she emphasized her aspiration for witnessing a developed Bihar and expressed pride in being associated with Prashant Kishor’s dedicated efforts toward this shared goal.
When questioned about her recent meeting with Union minister Nitin Gadkari, she dispelled speculations about joining the party, noting that Nitin sir holds a paternal role in her life, and the meeting did not hold any political significance.
Prashant Kishor, the founder of the Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC), gained recognition for managing Narendra Modi’s successful campaign in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls. In 2021, he concluded his political consultancy business after overseeing the assembly polls in West Bengal, won by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress.
