In anticipation of Davido’s fourth studio album release on March 31st, the African superstar is featured in a trailer conducting a TV interview. The upcoming album, titled Timeless, will be Davido’s first acoustic album since his 2020 release A Better Time, and features 17 tracks including Champion Sound with Amapiano ambassador Focalistic.

In the trailer, released through Spotify’s social channels, Davido describes Timeless as “a complete work that transcends fads and trends”, while his team hails it as authentic and true to Davido’s artistry. The album showcases Davido’s collaborative talents, featuring established international artists such as Skepta and Angelique Kidjo, as well as up-and-coming local artists such as Logos olori, Fave, The Cavemen, and Morravey.

Davido’s return to the music scene and Spotify’s support of African music and its creators is emphasized by the release of the trailer and the Timeless Afro playlist curated by Davido himself. Victor Okpala, West African Artist and Label Partnerships Manager at Spotify, expresses excitement for the launch of Timeless, calling Davido “one of the greatest ambassadors of African music in the digital age”.
