Bud Grant Obituary – Death: Legendary Vikings head coach Bud Grant Cause Of Death

On Saturday, Bud Grant, the former head coach of the Vikings, passed away at the age of 95.

Born on May 20, 1927, in Superior, Wisconsin, Grant was a nine-letterman athlete at the University of Minnesota.

Grant’s professional sports career began in the NBA with the Minneapolis Lakers, where he played for two years before moving on to the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles.

As a rookie, Grant played defense and went on to become the number two pass receiver in 1952, with 56 catches that year.

Grant served as head coach for the Minnesota Vikings from 1967 to 1983, with one final coaching stint in 1985. Under his leadership, the Vikings appeared in four Super Bowls.
