Crabtree Valley Mall shooting today news, Apple Store active shooter now

Apple Store employees have stated there is a crime scene on the first floor of Crabtree Valley Mall that has been secured by Raleigh Police Department. Witnessed my first false alarm mall shooting tonight as a fallen ladder in Raleigh’s Crabtree Valley Mall food court sent hundreds of people running for their lives and putting the mall on lockdown.

Yaseen Sulayman Alchanshali was driving a 2020 Toyota Camry Alkanshaly, police said. Alchanshali, 22, was charged with misdemeanor, fatal motor vehicle and speeding. Alchanshali was seriously injured and is being treated in hospital. Police said Alkanshaly and Alchanshali did not appear to be wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

Police investigations revealed that the Camry driven by Alchanshali was traveling at high speed and changing lanes several times. Alchanshali was unable to slow down and collided with the rear of Mack Granite’s cement truck, according to police. Police said the impact caused the Camry to tip over to the right and roll over several times. The driver of the Mack Granite truck was not injured, police said.

WRAL News spoke to a witness named David who said the car was traveling at least 90 mph before the crash. “I saw debris on the van in front of me, so I knew it was bad,” David said. “I kept turning left, into the leftmost lane, to get around everybody,” said David, who was near the scene of the crash at Exit 7 off Glenwood Avenue. “I saw a white car going upside down,” David said. “I saw a gentleman standing nearby. I can’t tell you if he was the driver.” At 12:30 p.m., the Sky 5 flew over the crash site, the Camry overturned, and multiple rescuers were at the scene.
