Debbie Hawk Obituary – Death: Decade-Old Skeletal Remains Found, Cause Of Death

Debbie Hawke, a 46-year-old woman, went missing from her home in Hanford on June 13, 2006. Her body was not found until almost a decade later, in a field near Stratford on March 18, 2016. Her ex-husband, Dave Hawke, was convicted of her murder in 2009, based on circumstantial evidence suggesting that he killed her to cover up stealing over $300,000 from their children’s trust fund account.

Recently, there was a court hearing regarding the location and condition of Debbie Hawke’s remains, which had been kept for DNA testing. On Tuesday, High Court Judge David Minier ordered that her remains be returned to her family for burial or cremation. The decision came after a hearing that began on March 8, during which various officials testified about the condition of the remains and the DNA analysis that had been conducted. While some DNA analysis was performed, it was inconclusive, and no personal data other than Debbie Hawke’s profile was found. The district attorney officials demanded the return of Debbie Hawke’s remains to her family, and the judge granted their request. There are no future court dates planned.
