Elizabeth Burton Obituary – Death: Chief Investment Officer of the Employees Has Passed Away, Cause Of Death

Goldman Sachs Asset Management Client Solutions and Capital Markets has appointed Elizabeth T. Burton as their new Client Investment Strategist. According to an internal memo obtained by Pensions & Investments, Ms. Burton will be reporting to J. Christopher Kojima, the partner and global head of client solutions and capital markets at GSAM. In this new role, Ms. Burton will be responsible for advising institutional clients on investment strategies and portfolio objectives, working alongside global client advisors and product strategists in both public and private markets.

Previously, Ms. Burton served as the Chief Investment Officer for the $22 billion Hawaii Employees’ Retirement System in Honolulu. Her departure on June 30 prompted the pension fund to begin searching for a replacement with the help of headhunters. As of June 30, GSAM had $1.82 trillion in assets under management.
