Lance Reddick Zavala Obituary – Death: Voice Actor dead, Star of The Wire and John Wick Cause Of Death

Fans of Lance Reddick’s performances in The Wire and John Wick series are mourning his passing at the age of 60. TMZ reports that the actor was found dead at his home in Studio City this morning at around 9:30 AM, with authorities suggesting that it appears to be natural causes. Reddick was set to reprise his role as Charon in John Wick: Chapter 4, which is due to hit theaters next week.

Reddick had more than 100 acting credits to his name and was slated to appear in several upcoming projects, including the White Men Can’t Jump remake and Percy Jackson and the Olympians. He was also set to play Charon in the forthcoming John Wick spin-off, Ballerina. Reddick recently celebrated National Puppy Day on social media while promoting John Wick: Chapter 4 and was scheduled to appear on The Kelly Clarkson Show next week to discuss the film.

Born in Baltimore, Reddick earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the prestigious Eastman School of Music at the University of Rochester, followed by a Master of Fine Arts degree from Yale in 1994. He began his acting career in the 1990s with appearances on shows like New York Undercover, Swift Justice, and The Nanny. He made his cinematic debut in 1998 in Alfonso Cuarón’s Great Expectations and went on to star in numerous films, including The Siege, Godzilla vs. Kong, and many more.

Reddick was also a television mainstay, appearing in popular shows such as The West Wing, Oz, Falcone, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. He had cameos in numerous other shows, including Fringe, American Horror Story, and Castlevania.

Reddick recently wrapped up filming for the first season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, where he played Zeus. He had also completed filming for Ballerina in February, in which he reprised his role as Charon. In 2011, Reddick married Stephanie Day.
