Laura Bailey leaked on The Last of us cameo from a major game star

Laura Bailey, a voice actor who played a key character in The Last of Us Part II, has also reprised her role in the HBO adaptation of The Last of Us. However, she is not playing the character fans might expect. In the season one finale, Joel takes Ellie to Team Firefly, but learns that to develop a vaccine, doctors must remove the cordyceps from her brain, effectively killing her. Joel saves Ellie and Bailey plays one of the nurses in the operating room. Although Bailey’s performance as Abby is well-known to game fans, she also voiced a character in the first feature of The Last of Us. Producers have not ruled out having Bailey make a major cameo or guest appearance in future seasons. The scene was filmed in an abandoned hospital in Alberta, Canada, and Bailey was moved to tears by the set. Druckmann received a funny photo from Bailey, which he may tweet after the season.
