Nicholas Lloyd Webber Obituary – Death: Andrew Lloyd Webber Announces Son Nick’s Death
Andrew Lloyd Webber has sadly announced that his eldest son, Nicholas Lloyd Webber, has passed away from gastric cancer. In a statement, he expressed his devastation and thanked everyone for their support during this difficult time. The news of Nicholas’ illness was shared earlier this week when Andrew announced that he would be missing the opening of his latest musical, Bad Cinderella, to be with his hospitalized son.
Nicholas, who was 43 years old, had recently been moved from the hospital to hospice care. In an earlier message, Andrew had shared that Nicholas was battling pneumonia as a result of his cancer, and that he had been moved to a hospice to receive care.
Despite his illness, Nicholas had accomplished much in his career as a Grammy-nominated composer, having worked on various projects including the original London Cinderella cast album, The Last Bus film, and the BBC 1 drama Love, Lies and Records.
Nicholas was the son of Andrew Lloyd Webber and his first wife, Sarah Hugill. His passing is a great loss to his family and loved ones, and to the music and entertainment industry.
