Veteran film and television actor Qavi Khan has died in Canada. He is 80 years old. The acting award-winning veteran actor lives in Canada these days. He died after a short illness. Kawi Khan was one of the first cast members of Pakistan Television Corporation. According to reports, the legendary actor had a phone call with older actor Sohail Ahmed today (Sunday).

Mohammad Qavi Khan, better known by his stage name Qavi Khan, is a Pakistani film, television and stage actor, film producer and director. The veteran actor also worked for a well-known Pakistani radio station. He has acted in over 200 Pakistani films and numerous TV series. He was born on November 13, 1932 in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, and grew up in Swat. Now he lives in Lahore, the heartland of Pakistan. Kawi Khan married in 1968.

Khan started his great career in entertainment industry when he worked as a child actor in Radio Pakistan in Peshawar. He was very young then. He moved to Lahore with his family in 1964 when the TV show first aired in Lahore. Khan worked for Pakistan Television Corporation and was one of the early actors of PTV.

Khan is best known for his stellar performance in the police drama series Andhera Ujala, which aired on PTV during the 1984-85 television season. The series features Khan as the main character, alongside his other cast members such as Irrfan Kusat and the late Jameel Fakhri.

He has also acted as an actor in various TV series. He also made his debut in the Pakistani romantic TV series Ishqa Waay alongside Sami Khan and Rabab Hashim. The show aired on Geo TV in 2015. This drama is a love story of a man with two wives. The series was a huge success and was well received by viewers. One of his recent TV appearances was the Sufi spiritual series “Alif Allah Aur Insaan”, starring Mikaal Zulfiqar, Kubra Khan, which aired on Hum TV in 2017. The series is adapted from the novel of the same name. The play revolves around the stories of five different characters with different backgrounds, beliefs and beliefs. It was the highest-rated series at the time.

After a successful career in show business, he started his film career in 1965. However, he has now made over 200 film/TV movies in Lollywood.
