A video of Trent Lehrkamp has been shared on social media platforms such as Twitter, Telegram, and Reddit. According to computer dispatch records obtained by the WSAV Investigative Unit, a security guard in the hospital’s emergency room reported that Trent Lehrkamp was there on Tuesday, March 21, at 8:46 p.m.
The security officer told the dispatcher that Trent’s father, Mark, was present in the ER room and wanted to report that his son had been possibly intimidated by a group named Trent Lyle. Mark told officials that Trent was on a ventilator, covered in spray paint, and reeked of urine after being attacked twice by teens connected to the Trent case.
Edward Rook Hobby, who was arrested in November 2022, was linked to the Trent case through disturbing Snapchat posts. Hobby, who had an alcohol problem, was jailed for three days for trespassing. In response to community calls for justice for Trent, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation joined the case, interviewing everyone involved and gathering electronic evidence.
The investigation is ongoing, and the prosecutor’s office has asked for patience as it will take time to conclude the case, a county spokesman said in a statement a week after Trent Lehrkamp was taken to Brunswick Hospital.
