She will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and love of life. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Carolyn spent her entire life in the area, and was an active member of her church, always ready to offer a helping hand to those in need. Her infectious smile, warm hugs, and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Carolyn Clark was born on May 5th, 1938 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to William and Helen Smith. She was a devoted Christian who loved to read and travel with her family, and was a passionate gardener with a green thumb. Carolyn was married to John for over 50 years, and together they raised three children – John Jr., Susan, and Robert. Carolyn was known for her hospitality and her dedication to putting her family first. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and was a talented seamstress who made beautiful quilts for her loved ones.
Carolyn was a kind and generous woman who was actively involved in her community, volunteering for numerous charitable organizations. She adored her seven grandchildren and always enjoyed spending time with them. Her legacy will be one of unwavering faith, generosity, and warmth.
A memorial service for Carolyn Clark will be held on August 10th, 2020 at 11am at the First Presbyterian Church of Pittsburgh. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Carolyn’s honor.
